Test images

Five published camera-trap frames with frozen responses. A request carrying exactly one of them is always free: it draws nothing from your monthly quota and is never metered, whether you upload the file or send its URL to /detect-url. Assert against the responses below in your integration tests and run CI against production without cost anxiety. The per-minute rate limit still applies, and the input image is not stored in your request logs.

Recognition is by content: the API hashes the image bytes it receives (sha256 of the base64 payload). Re-encoding, resizing or stripping metadata changes the hash and turns the request into a normal, metered call, so send the files exactly as downloaded.

Notes

  • Frozen responses are recorded from the production model with `threshold=0.2` and default options; `bbox` values are rounded to four decimals and scores to three. A model update that changes them is announced in the release notes and the responses are re-recorded.
  • Bounding boxes are `[x, y, width, height]`, normalised to the image size (0 to 1), origin at the top-left corner.
  • The images are camera-trap frames from the Lille Vildmose and Ovstrup Hede monitoring projects, published with the owner's consent for this purpose only.
  • Detection jobs (`POST /jobs`) are not free for these images; use the instant endpoints for tests.
